Crafty Mouse Gifts started to grow slowly during one of the strangest and most uncertain periods of my life.
In 2020, during lockdown, my family and I moved up to the Scottish Borders with a toddler in the back seat, our cat beside us and our lives packed into a hired van travelling ahead on near-empty roads. Like many people during that time, I was searching for comfort, calm and a sense of purpose in a world that suddenly felt unfamiliar and overwhelming.
Creating became my escape.
I've always been a quiet, observant person — more comfortable listening than being the loudest voice in the room. Creativity became the place where I could express myself fully. What began with creating simple handmade items in my garage, kitchen and eventually my dining room table quickly grew into a passion for creating meaningful products that brought comfort to both myself and others.
I experimented with sewing fabric gifts, pouring resin, moved to pouring eco-friendly Jesmonite handmade home décor items before eventually discovering candles, wax melts and home fragrances.
That moment I began combining both the containers and the wax, blending and pouring, something clicked. I designed and created both handmade products into one niche gift that no-one else seemed to do.
For the first time, I wasn't just making separate products — I was bringing together every part of my creativity into one piece. By designing both the container and the fragrance experience myself, I created something that felt uniquely personal and unlike anything I had seen elsewhere.

That emotional connection to scent and calm feelings became the heart of Crafty Mouse Gifts.
Today, every item is hand-poured in small batches using carefully chosen and sustainably sourced materials. I believe the things we fill our homes with should feel comforting, beautiful and intentional.
More than anything, I create for people who need softness in their lives — anxious minds, overwhelmed hearts and anyone craving small moments of peace and warmth in their everyday routines.
